Wolf Hassinger, cello / PMF 2018
Nicolai Gerassimez, piano
Although it is quite a dark piece, it has some moments of light, of hope. It starts with a kind of prayer, followed by a devilish second movement full of nervousness and anxiety, and goes back to the chorale-themed calmness of the first movement.
In this uncertain and insecure time, in which we are surrounded every day by more and more (scary) information, I think it is so important to take a moment off each day, to calmly go into yourself, and to maybe think of the things and people most important to you, or to just let your thoughts flow.
With this video I hope to offer that possibility, and I wish all the PMF family and everyone all the best, for health and strength throughout this time.
