Debussy & Ravel: divergent paths in French high art
The 3rd in the "Musical Journeys" series features the sophisticated colorations of the music of France! And who better to serve as representatives of this than Debussy and Ravel? Spanning from the late 19th into the early 20th century, the music of these 2 contemporaries represents the height of beauty, yet the differences between their personalities and musicality (with 13 years between them) are rich for exploration.
In addition to a presentation by classical music facilitator Arisa Iida – known for her clear, in-depth style – enjoy a concert featuring the harp, a symbol of the musical richness of French high society itself!
