A Return to Origins
The one and only program in which PMF-founder Leonard Bernstein took the stage along with the PMF Orchestra: Schumann"s Symphony No. 2. This famous piece, not performed by the Academy-comprised PMF Orchestra since Bernstein conducted it in 1990, will now be presented once again! The young maestro Domingo Hindoyan, who once studied at PMF himself and is now traversing the globe as a conductor, will take up the baton, and the soloist for the first half of the program, Tchaikovsky"s Piano Concerto No. 1, will be the young Uzbekistani prodigy Behzod Abduraimov, who also is active on the world stage. The synergy created as they engage with the PMF Orchestra is absolutely not to be missed!
