PMF 2026 will feature a Conducting Academy!

Auditions for the 2026 PMF Conducting Academy have begun. All auditions take place via online video submissions on "Acceptd." The deadline to apply is January 14, 2026 at 12:00pm (noon) Japan Standard Time, which is January 13 in many parts of the world. Successful applicants will need to arrive in Sapporo on July 13 and depart from Sapporo on July 20 (with an optional extension of stay to observe PMF Orchestra rehearsals/concerts with David Robertson). The curriculum includes coaching sessions taught by David Robertson, conducting with pianos, rehearsals with the PMF Orchestra, and a concert performance conducting the PMF Orchestra. Applicants must have/make their own Acceptd account, fill in all required forms, and upload video(s) of the required materials. (We will not hold live auditions, nor receive materials by postal mail.)
　
Round-trip travel costs, accommodation, educational costs, and meals/meal-stipends will be provided by the festival.
