Born in Verona, Italy in 1988, Alessandro Beverari began playing the clarinet at the age of 9. After graduating with highest marks from the Conservatorio E. F. dall’Abaco in Verona in 2009, he studied at the Conservatorio di Piacenza, the Conservatorio in Geneva, and the Accademia Nazionale di Santa Cecilia in Rome. Since 2017, he has been the Principal Clarinetist of the Tokyo Philharmonic Orchestra. Beverari has won prizes in many competitions, including 1st prize, the Audience Award, and the Hamanaka Award in the 4th Jacques Lancelot International Clarinet Competition in Yokosuka, and 3rd place in the Wind Instrument Division (woodwind and brass) in the 2019 International Tchaikovsky Competition. His mentors include Paolo Beltramini, Romain Guyot, and Alessandro Carbonare.
