Access from the Airport

The majority of PMF's concerts are held in Hokkaido's Sapporo City and its surrounding area. For those attending from outside Hokkaido (or outside Japan), please fly into New Chitose Airport, then travel to central Sapporo. Trains (JR), highway buses, and cars (rental cars) are available.

If traveling by
train (JR)

Duration: at least 38 min.
Cost: ¥1,150 (reserved seats: +¥840)

The fastest way to travel to downtown Sapporo is by JR train. The New Chitose Airport Station is on the domestic terminal building's first basement floor. The Sapporo-bound Rapid Airport Express runs from 8:00 to 22:00, departing roughly every 15 minutes, and taking at least 36 minutes to arrive at Sapporo Station. Many businesspeople and domestic and international tourists make use of this convenient route to Sapporo. Before 8:00 AM, local trains offer access to the city.

If traveling by
Airport Shuttle bus

Duration: about 70 min.
Cost: ¥1,100

The Limousine Bus allows you to enjoy the view as you travel from the airport to downtown Sapporo. Both the Chuo Bus and the Hokuto Kotsu Bus depart from the airport every 10 or 15 minutes. There are 2 bus stops on the first floor of the domestic terminal, and 1 on the first floor of the international terminal. Bus passes can be purchased at the bus counter or at ticket machines, and can be used for either company. Specially priced round-trip passes and other deals are also available.

car (rental car)

Duration: about 60 min.
From the New Chitose Airport IC to the Sapporo Kita IC on the Hokkaido Expressway (standard sized vehicle toll): ¥1,430
(Rental car fees vary.)

Using the Hokkaido Expressway (toll road) allows for smooth travel to downtown Sapporo.
