Jun Märkl, widely praised for his collaborations with PMF since his first appearance in 2004, will serve as Principal Conductor, appearing in the first half of the festival. His first program features the complete ballet score of Ravel"s "Daphnis et Chloé," known for its delicate, colorful orchestration. Märkl is also known as one of the foremost interpreters of Toshio Hosokawa"s music, including "Woven Dreams." Along with Berlioz"s lively "Le Corsaire," experience the PMF Orchestra"s broad range of expressiveness!
