PMF 2025 Overview

The international educational Pacific Music Festival in Sapporo (PMF) was founded by 20th century giant of the classical music world Leonard Bernstein, with the aim of fostering the young musicians of the world.
PMF 2025 will be held for 21 days from July 9 (Wed) to July 29 (Tue).
Marek Janowski, master of the great German symphonic repertoire and sought after by orchestras as Music Director and Chief Conductor, will serve as PMF Principal Conductor. Karina Canellakis, an alumna of the PMF 2012 Conducting Academy who has gone on to become Chief Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Principal Guest Conductor of the London Philharmonic Orchestra will serve as PMF Guest Conductor.
