Born in Sapporo, Shuhei Yasuda received his music degree from the Hokkaido University of Education Sapporo Campus in 2000, going on to spend 2 years in Vienna studying with Herbert Mayr, double bassist of the Vienna Philharmonic. He became a member of the Tokyo Symphony Orchestra in 2007. His double bass teachers also include Mitsuo Fujisawa and Shu Yoshida. Yasuda currently teaches double bass at Tokai University"s Faculty of Arts.
