Souki Kirihara began playing violin at the age of 3 and graduated from the Toho Gakuen Music High School before going on to study at the Toho Gakuen College Music Department. While still a student he also polished his ensemble skills in the NHKSO Academy, Ozawa International Chamber Music Academy, PMF, the Suntory Hall Chamber Music Academy, Project Q, and more. Kirihara was the Principal Second Violinist of the Tokyo City Philharmonic Orchestra from 2015 to 2019, and has been the Principal Second Violinist of the Sapporo Symphony Orchestra since 2019. His mentors include Miki Nakajima, Masafumi Hori, and Yoshiharu Kubo.
